Cole & Co. 78″ Isla Double Sink Chest Vanity Review

Cole & Co. 78″ Isla Double Sink Chest Vanity Review

Anything industrial looking makes me sit up and pay attention.  It’s a rare piece of furniture that can pull off the look of an old re-purposed cabinet with new materials and still appear stylish.  The Isla Double Sink Chest Vanity by Cole & Co. is one of those pieces.

Though its name implies a tropical inspiration, this bathroom vanity’s hard corners and flat front don’t give me that impression at all.  The only island-inspired element I can find on this piece is the swirled pattern in the glass, which is reminiscent of ocean waves.  What drew me to this vanity was its clean lines and the striking contrast between the glass doors and the dark wood frame.  It’s almost as if an arts and crafts carpenter teamed up with a factory engineer!

Cole & Co. is known for their quality woods and superior construction – their vanities are truly intended to last a lifetime.  I love that all of their products are handmade, so each one turns out a little different.  It’s quite rare to find mass-market home decor that is hand-crafted these days!  The Isla vanity cabinet is constructed of select hardwoods and hickory veneers in a rich brown finish they call “sienna”.  Inside the glass doors, you’ll find two adjustable shelves and two drawers – plenty of space for extra towels and toiletries.

At a little over $6700, this certainly isn’t the solution for your budget bathroom remodel.  But if you can afford it and are seeking a vanity that will be a true centerpiece of your master bath for year’s to come, the Isla is worth a look.
