Americh Velero 7236 Freestanding Tub Review
Wow, just wow! I’m almost speechless at the design of this Americh freestanding bathtub. I’m so used to seeing tubs with an oval-ish shape that the geometric Velero really floored me! Have you ever seen anything like it?
My favorite thing about this tub’s design is the arced bottom – instead of sitting flat on the floor, it curves upward in the middle. As you can see from the picture, this makes the bathtub look less bulky and gives the appearance that it is very delicate, balancing only on the four corners. The curved base is also a nice visual contrast from the faceted edges which have a more angular look.
You can outfit this tub with whirlpool or air bath features if bubbles are your thing, but beware if you’re on a tight budget for your bathroom remodel. At a base price of more than $4,000, the Velero certainly isn’t cheap, and the bubbly upgrades will add another few thousand to your tab. But Americh is a brand known for quality and their products are custom made in the USA, which is something many people have begun to look for more and more when shopping. I always feel great about supporting American workers when I can, don’t you?
